Umid R. Alimukhamedov, MD, is a neonatologist-intensivist at the Scientific Center of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and a PhD candidate conducting research on minimally invasive respiratory stabilization technologies in preterm infants.
